Bridal Fashion

Did a bridal fashion shoot today, and I'm super psyched! Shot medium format film too (haven't done so in a few years) so I'm extra excited. The anticipation is killing me!

Little Charlene

Eat, sleep and be merry! Charlene slept like a baby in a every sense of the word. We turned her over a couple of times and yet she stayed in her sweet, peaceful slumber.

Photographing newborns is one of my new favorite things. I can't get over how adorable they are!

Just over 3 weeks old...

Little Eian

This little fella is a week old. I was very excited because he is one of my youngest subjects ever. SO cute! I think I might be starting to annoy people, myself included, because I say this everyday - I REALLY love my job!

The warm welcome, the sound of the little baby crying (briefly ;)), the joy of the new parents... it's a happy place to be.

Mommy Gail

At 9 months, Gail is super fit & looking oh-so-fab. Her little one is expected any day now... The gift of life is SO wonderful and I think the shape & form that a mom's body takes is as beautiful. Can't wait to photograph him too!

Happy Mother's Day!

Once (a very long time ago), my little brother & I thought it would be a really nice gift to make mom a tape where I played the piano & he sang, put it in a huge box, throw in some heart cut-outs, & fill the rest of the space with encyclopedia so she wouldn't have any idea what it was. This was prior to us realizing that we had NO musical talent whatsoever. A classic example of how you know mom will love you no matter what ;) No wonder she got us into sports.

My mom is the BEST. To those who know her, she is a woman of God, a great confidant, a generous heart, an "almost" public servant, the life of the party, the hostess with the mostest, and the list can go on. To us, she is all that & MORE. Constantly instilling the values of giving, great fashion ;) and just yesterday, reinforced the value of a white lie! Love you mama!

With the way I do things, my dad would often make remarks such as, "you are your mother's daughter." The below evidence will show that I will most likely look like her in X-number of years and I'll be very proud to be even half the woman she is with the many, many lives she's touched.

Precious Little Sean

I was once again reminded of how lucky I am, not only that I get to do something I love, but also because I get to share my clients' happiest moments. This is a source of positive energy that fuels my cheerleader spirit :)

I photographed Sean's big sister last year & mommy called me back to welcome the new little sheriff in town. He is SO precious. Didn't even cry the whole time I was there.

Another ABC Event

I was at an Association of Bridal Consultants-LA event a few nights ago at the Riviera Country Club. What a gorgeous venue! Another fun-filled event... good food, good entertainment & good company. Good times!

Arlene & Rommel

Arlene and I first met in ballet class in the 80s. With my short-lived aspiration to be a ballerina (& a princess), we lost touch. Fast-forward twenty-some years, and we meet again! She's the same sweet girl with that pretty smile and now she's getting married!!! We talked about dresses, flowers, invitations and all things wedding.

I think it's really cool that I get to photograph a wedding of someone I knew when I could still count my age on one hand! I still could, but it would just take longer ;)

Arlene & Rommel share a passion for learning & a zest for life. My kinda people... Can't wait to shoot their wedding!

As I was unpacking my bag from today's shoot, I got a glimpse of the full moon through my window... Pretty. Little things like this make me happy :D

Brides Magazine party

Wednesday night, I was at a Brides Magazine Party at the Museum of Latin American Art. It's always great to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Although I need to do better job at documenting such (seems like I only take pictures when I get there & when I'm about to leave).
